A good lookbook is not so different from a good traveling minstel — both intrigue and entice while telling a compelling story.
I love this latest lookbook from the Hill-Side, as it accomplishes all of the aforementioned tenets with sophisticated discreetness and affable charm.
A scarf is left to lie haphazardly on the corner of a sofa, a pocket square remains forlornly folded atop a clunky Greenpoint air conditioner. Tied irreverently around a vase, slung over the back of a chair, atop the pile of bills and correspondence — quotidian snapshots give personality without the presence of any people.
The Brothers Corsillo ain’t no slouch and neither are their friends. Styling and shots care of inimitable tastemakers James Wilson of Secret Forts and Bill Gentle of Backyard Bill. The set is as interesting as the overall style and story, as interiors belong to impressive design connoisseurs including
Kyle Garner of the always fantastic Sit and Read,
Richard Haines, accomplished illustrator and all-around people-watching maven.
Shana Tabor of In God We Trust
Sweetu Patel of the expertly edited C’H’C’M’
the Scout’s Editor-in-Chief Tom Ram
Happy Friday! If you can’t get enough hit up Secret Forts for more B-roll shots.
Be well and go forth,
Your Older Sister
